Drawing is an art form that is based upon expression and subtleties that are associated with visuals. However, when we take away the visual component we are left with our imagination to express what we intend to see. When sound replaces sight as the dominant sense in drawing, one has to practice a more emotive and expressive way of using lines. That is what I tried to accomplish in these expressive drawings using different mediums ranging from pen, pencil, charcoal to pastels. Each medium provided a new opportunity to express different conditions and sounds that I was hearing from my surrounding environment. Outside sounds contained various components in regard to tone, intensity that differentiated the type of lines and thickness of each line that I drew. It became evident that there are many ways to express sound in visual form without sacrificing its emotive power.
