Ready, set, action!

“Water we use” is a short film documenting Southern California’s water supply infrastructure. The clips from the short film were captured within the limits of the San Gabriel River watershed, displaying the infrastructural networks that supply our water. The video broadly relays to the audience a visual reference to the different methods in which we capture, store, and supply water to the city. It is more of an informative resource, which attempts to briefly describe how our water supply infrastructure functions. Quite often we are limited by the extent of our knowledge. We know that if we turn the faucet on it will continue to run, but it’s whats on the other side of the faucet (what we do not see) that is paying the price for our resources. Hopefully this video can introduce other topics of discussion regarding our water systems and where we get the “water we use.”
