Hydropower in the Owens Valley is immensely abundant. Through a series of mappings the value of Hydropower can be displayed through a process of synthesizing the impacts on it. The methodology used in the series of mappings begins by showing a past, present and future scenario of the current amount of energy produced by Hydropower, other sources of renewable energy and natural resources. The extraction of natural resources contributes a great amount of pollution or green house gasses. Greenhouse gasses lead to climate change, which is the number one impact on Hydropower. With the reduction in use of natural resources and an increase in Hydropower usage, the greenhouse gasses could be reduced substantially. This in turn is the solution, the benefit and the nexus of Hydropower.
