Pattern Making

For this part of the project we had to explore different pattern on a plastalina surface. The patterns had to be related to the machines that could be available in Owens Lake. Consequently these patterns are a way to explore possible dust control methods. I explore the possibility of irregular trenches that deposited soil next to the trench. I also explored with drilling holes irregularly. Trench method is currently in use at Owens Lake as a way of controlling dust but they call it tillage. Drilling is currently not a method used by DWP at Owens Lake. This is a method it should be further explored to control dust. A single hole may not be successful but a series of holes that might be in different diameters and certain distance apart could be successful.
