Clay Models+ topography= Owens Lake

M12
Working with clay helped us get off from our computer programs and try to understand the landscape at the Owens Lake.  Getting our hands dirty with clay was a fun activity where we were able to be more creative with landforms.  I personally felt that this activity released our creativity and we were able to come with better solutions. Just by getting your hands around the clay and trying to create patterns made it very interesting. At the same time we were thinking how would a excavator or bulldozer would do this in real life. It felt that at the time we were modeling with the clay we were an equipment or at least that is how I felt it.  Stepping back from a lop top was great and modeling with clay was even better, a lot of fun.
