The purpose of these clay models is to understand movement across a terrain through deploying various patterns. Doing so helps us understand a common language between wind and vehicular movement. The advantage of working with clay is its pliability and reusability. Forms can be added or subtracted, but it must be reused. Our goal was to create models that are similar in intention and development. In this case, I have tried incorporating my wind and sound drawings from a previous project and notating them in a three-dimensional form. The movements I applied for these models are mostly sinuous rather than linear in order to achieve the enclosure effect. Fabricating these models also helped me understand how stamping not only creates unique patterns but can also have practical purpose for our project.
