As back form the Owens Valley field trip, we met various aspects experts of the Owens lake water issue. It is interesting that they have different opinions on the reason of the exhaustion of Owens lake water resource. Local people said the government pumped all the water to LA aqueduct. On the other side, government’s people said the local people excesses used of water in agriculture dried up the lake…. Everyone just push away their responsibilities, however, protecting the environment is everyone’s an unshirkable responsibility. Quote the words from an old Paiute “mother of nature, we treat nature well, the nature will treat us good”. I wonder what the final result of this responsibility fight, but I am not sure the nature can surviving to that time.
